Anica graduated in 2014 from RISD with a BFA in apparel design, and a minor in Asian studies. Her senior thesis collection, “GEODE,” was noted as a “standout” by Women’s Wear Daily. Anica has continued to design her own clothing lines, and has worked in couture costuming for the Boston Ballet, behind the scenes as head-dresser at several fashion shows, interning at NYFW, and in retail as a visual merchandising specialist.
After many requests to photograph her clothing collections, Anica became interested in styling, which led to internships in Boston, NYC and Tokyo. While assisting a stylist represented by Wilhelmina NY and Tokyo, Anica realized that she loved the creative and practical aspects of styling, and enjoyed the challenge of creating unique looks. She is fashion-obsessed; having a strong knowledge of fashion history as well as the latest fashion trends. Along with styling, Anica continues to design for her label ANAKOVNA, as she widens her network of industry professionals in Boston, New York and Tokyo.
